January 1953: During a cinema night between Churchill and his wife, Clementine, in London, Mr Churchill drops his cigar on the floor and a certain usherette named Violet King pockets it. The funny thing is that she asked for and received a note certifying the origin of the cigar!

May 1947: After a flight from the UK to Paris, Corporal William Alan Turner, a British airman, had the good sense to save Winston’s butt. Defined as a “truly delightful historical relic” by Boston auctioneers, the Corona was purchased by a Florida man for $12,262!
And for the latest story about old Churchill cigars being sold, I call police officer Arthur Church, who after escorting Mr Churchill in 1940, picked up the cigar he had thrown away. In 2021, in Sussex, it made him $5,162 and his name is now all over the Internet!
